Three hundred tonnes of Premium quality rice was donated to the Cuban people by the Chinese company Yutong, as an expression of the close relations that have existed for more than 15 years and of its willingness to continue to support the Cuban market and cooperate with our country.

During the act of gratitude, the Vice Minister of Domestic Trade, Grisel Ávila, explained that this donation, valued at 210,000 USD, will support the COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control plan and will directly benefit the population.

Likewise, the Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Deborah Rivas, thanked for this gesture on behalf of the Cuban government and people, given its significant value in the context of the international health crisis and the tightening of the blockade imposed by the United States.

For his part, Yutong’s regional manager for the Caribbean, Yang Tengfei, pointed out that this is the true manifestation of the deep relationship established between Cuba and his company, which will continue to appreciate the Cuban market.

Yutong, which is consolidating its position as a strategic partner for our country in the automotive sector, has donated medical supplies, means of protection and ambulances since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in Cuba.
