As part of the collaboration agreement between Business France and ProCuba and within the framework of the Cuba-European Union II exchange of experts program, 3 study visits were made to France, Chile and Portugal and a prospecting mission to potential Spanish investors, with in order to strengthen Cuban capacities in the promotion of foreign investment and exports. These missions have different objectives.
Good Practices Exchange Mission between Business France and ProCuba:
Each session demonstrated the relevance of the exchange between both agencies for learning good practices, based on the French experience, and the characteristics of the services provided to foreign companies and investors. Of particular interest was the presentation of economic intelligence tools, as well as the work carried out in the territories and offices abroad.

Good Practices Exchange Mission with the Portuguese Investment and Foreign Trade Agency (AICEP) and working visit with Portuguese Business Associations, Municipal Chambers and Companies:
The activities were developed in different stages. This mission was aimed at getting to know each of the areas of the Portuguese Investment and Foreign Trade Agency and its main business support services, through presentations and exchanges with experts from each area. An exchange was held with the Association of Portuguese Entrepreneurs in the municipality of Porto and the Municipal Chambers of Santo Tirso and Guimarães, which made it possible to learn about the support services for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Good Practices Exchange Mission between ProCuba, ProChile and InvestChile:
The study visit to the headquarters of ProChile and InvestChile served to acquire new experiences on the operation of the agencies and to outline several lines of work:
• where ProCuba intends to improve its support for the national business sector with the launch of new information products and services taken as examples,
• improve the agency’s management and feedback mechanisms with tools such as CRM,
• Evaluate the possibility of signing a Collaboration Agreement between ProCuba and ProChile.

Investment Prospecting Mission in Spain:
In this case, a preliminary investigation was carried out to identify possible companies with the potential to invest in Cuba. With the support of the Business France headquarters in Madrid, appointments were requested from the chosen companies to hold presentation meetings.
Four virtual meetings were held, with COFIDES, ICEX, Ezzing Solar and the Nueva Pescanova Group.
Of the four videoconferences, the best results were obtained with GNP.
They are interested in maintaining and deepening their commercial relations with Caribex for the export of Cuban marine products and the import of another range of products to include in the food basket. The GNP presents the provision for collaborative exchange and transfer of knowledge and know-how for the development of innovation in the fishing industry and aquaculture.

ProCuba appreciates the accompaniment of all the entities involved in achieving the objectives of each work mission, fundamentally the support of the Cuban ambassadors and diplomatic personnel in the countries visited.
