Exploring opportunities for exchange and collaboration in various areas is the objective of a delegation of businessmen, headed by the president of the Indian Economic Trade Organization (IETO), Asif Iqbal, who leaves for Cuba this Monday.

According to Prensa Latina, Iqbal declared that this is the second delegation from the South Asian country after an encouraging visit by a first group to Cuba a few months ago.

The delegation, made up of 11 people, has been invited by the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba and will seek to strengthen relations through new viable export opportunities, as well as investments in the branches of tourism and health.

Representatives from India include the tourism and hospitality, infrastructure, pharmaceutical, hospital equipment, banking advisory, spice export, rice, vaccine collaboration, agriculture and food processing sectors, among others.

Recently, in the city of Mumbai, the main financial center of India, the IETO Cuba Bureau was inaugurated, which will have as its objective the promotion of commercial and economic relations between both countries.

During a business event organized by IETO, several memorandums of understanding were signed with different Indian institutions to promote business in Cuba in the areas of electric vehicles, the marketing of Indian rice and the Cuban vaccine against lung cancer, among others. lines.

IETO ratified the intention of bringing a representation of different companies to the next edition of the Havana International Fair, Fihav 2022, which will be held from November 14 to 18.
